The Journey So Far...

So this comes in a little ways into the "Journey" (a word I've come to live by over the last two years). Most of you know my story, so I'll try to be brief. During my senior year of college, I realized I wasn't going to be teaching after I graduated - the Lord had much more in store. So graduation rolls around, I move home (also something else the Lord had in store that wasn't part of my plan), get a long-term sub position and help lead worship for our youth. During that time the Lord helped me step up tremendously in worship (playing guitar/singing), and opened the door for me to jump on board with Missio Dei - a school of missions and evangelism that was just beginning to take off. I mean how often do you get to take part in helping build something from the ground up? Much different from what my idea was of building a ministry/vision from the ground floor, it was two years of growing, stretching, humility, fun, laughter, hard work and growing up, but I cannot imagine where I would be without all that God has done in me and taught me over those years. The main theme for Missio Dei was that it's a "journey" for young adults as they grow in missions and evangelism and are sent out to share our Papa and His great love with the lost. So I've been on a journey since then to go where the Spirit leads.

Another pit stop on the journey - this summer I wanted to do nothing but have a regular job and a regular schedule...well, I got the regular schedule. The Lord prepared the way for me to lead worship at my home church, and WOW, the Lord rocked my world in teaching me to lead, grow in worship, and grow in loving people where they are. Which is everything I needed to grow in...He knows what He's doing ;)

Now I'm on my way to Cali. Hellooooo west coast! And this is where this blog will take off. My journey as I venture to Redding, CA to another stepping-stone as I attend Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. God has SO much more in store than what many of us allow Him to give us, so this is my year of letting go completely of everything I previously thought about Him and letting Him show me all that He wants and do all that He wants in me and through me. I'm expecting much, so be ready to hear the stories!

  1. So excited for you! And, so inspired by you. I wonder what could happen if we all said, "Okay Lord, I'm giving this year to you; take all of me and do with me what You will." looking forward to the stories. May you be abundantly blessed!
